Snead selected as 2008 Gloria Niemeyer Francke Leadership Mentor Award recipient
RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 20, 2007 – Rebecca Snead, EVP/CEO for the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA) has been selected as the 2008 Gloria Niemeyer Francke Leadership Mentor Award recipient. She will be presented with the award during the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Diego at the Salute to Pharmacy Leadership Dinner on March 15, 2008.
"I am surprised and honored to receive this award,” Snead said. "There is no greater professional responsibility than to mentor others to attain their full leadership potential. This recognition is one of the highlights of my professional career."
APhA’s Awards and Honors program is American Pharmacy’s most prestigious and comprehensive recognition program.
This award is given to an individual who has promoted and encouraged pharmacists to attain leadership positions within pharmacy through example as a role model and mentor. The pharmacist for whom the award is named-Gloria Niemeyer Francke, PharmD-personally exemplifies the award's criteria.

The National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA) promotes leadership, sharing, learning, and policy exchange among pharmacy leaders in all 50 states and Washington, DC, and provides education and advocacy to support pharmacists, patients, and communities working together to improve public health. NASPA was founded in 1927 as the National Council of State Pharmacy Association Executives (NCSPAE).
