Greetings NASPA Partners and Colleagues:

The National Alliance of State Pharmacy Association has appreciated your continued support of our efforts to build relationships between the industry, practice and business relationships.  Together we have managed to coordinate a tremendous amount of activity in support of quality patient care even with the challenges of health care reform programs, changes in the political landscape and the economic realities of pharmacy advocacy.

Collaboration of organizations with related business interests is similar to effect of that the rising tide has on ships navigating shallow waters.  The hazards that we don't see beneath us become less onerous.

As associate members you are in a unique position to benefit through your membership in NASPA.

Through outreach efforts to other national organizations to promote stronger ties and enhanced communication, NASPA is recognized as the organization providing grassroots connection and communication to thousands of pharmacists and pharmacy owners across the nation.  NASPA has worked with these groups to assure that state pharmacy organizations and their members have a voice at the national level.  It is our plan to continue to strengthen these collaborations.

As an associate member you benefit from the diverse information shared from live meetings, Listserve messages and electronic newsletters. In addition, critical information relevant to state pharmacy associations and their members can be shared through the same venues.  Recall alerts, new product announcements and other issues relevant to your organization can be shared easily.  The Alliance has been successful each year to provide members three dynamic and informative meetings.  These networking opportunities help to dissemination information you need to reach each state executive director, and a logo of your company on the NASPA Web site.

Even in these difficult economic times NASPA has been successful in identifying financial resources and programs to provide valuable information, services and greater support to our members (especially our associate members). NASPA has sought input and listened to all of your suggestions on how to make state pharmacy associations successful for the long-term.  Many of those suggestions have lead to initiatives that are directly benefitting the membership and more are in development.

We have steadfastly advanced the 2015 vision of pharmacy through our efforts to assure the sustainability of state pharmacy associations, to enhance pharmacists role on the patient care team to ensuring optimal medication adherence and outcomes and by taking a leadership role in pharmacy safety and quality initiatives.

As president, my hope is that you have seen the benefits of this organization and are as equally committed to continuing your support of NASPA as I am.  I believe it is essential that your membership continues to be a part of this unique growing force within the profession.  We are truly an alliance that delivers on its promise to advance the profession of pharmacy.

I look forward to our continued cooperation as we individually and collectively create that future.
